Sixty-7 years have passed and the Maryland Terrapins take yet to accomplish one special feat: defeating a top 5 team on the road.

It has won a national championship, switched conferences multiples times and has had 14 head coaches, including DJ Durkin.

All of those things — and many more than — have happened since October. 7, 1950 — when the Terps upset No. 2 Michigan Country, decades before the two schools became Big 10 rivals.

Maryland volition get its commencement take chances in 2022 to rewrite history when it travels to Wisconsin to play the 5th-ranked Badgers. The Terps haven't played a top 5 squad on the road since their 59-three loss to Michigan final season.

Since that fateful day in 1950, Maryland has played 20 road games against a team ranked in the height 5 (including a game in Miami against Florida State in 1996). Information technology has lost all of those games by an average of about 25 points.
